Open castles

The Provinces of Alessandria, Cuneo and Asti will be opening the "castles,villas and gardens" to tourists between spring and Autumn. They will be open to the public allowing them to discover the artistic and historical treasures,with tourist guides accompanying them in each castles, villa or garden and allowing them to relive history, wars and fascinating love stories.

The POMARO CASTLE ,a noble residence
In the thick of the Monferrato hills ,between Casale and Valenza ,there are three towers that reach up to the sky.they are the symbols of the Pomaro castle, one of the most well known Monferrato castles.
Next to the castle there is a beautiful garden.The first written testimony of the garden dates back to the 17th century and it was referred to as "babylon"which seems to indicate that the garden was in some way inspired by the mythic gardens of babylon.
